After 18 years as vicar of Dunham Massey Jerry has moved on. His ministry in our parishes was fulfilling for all and we have so many happy memories of him and his family. God however called Jerry to pastures new and he has been appointed as colonel chaplain to The Royal Signals . We wish him well.
The Process After a vicar leaves – an interregnum.
The interregnum describes the time from the suspension of the Benefice ( after the vicar leaves) to the Installation and Induction of a new vicar. During this period our church wardens Dr Sue Elves of St Margaret’s and Alan Hewitt of St Mark’s, have been appointed sequestrators acting on behalf of the Bishop while a new vicar is selected. They are responsible for all matters pertaining to worship and ministry of the parish.
We have recently advertised for a new vicar but in the interim we are blessed to be supported by clergy and lay preachers
