It is a genuine pleasure and delight to be appointed as your new minister. My name is Aled Seago, and I am currently serving as a curate in the parish of Poynton, near Stockport. Before anyone asks, yes, I am named after Aled Jones, and no, I can’t sing like him!
I’m married to Jo, and we’ve been married for the past ten and a half years, meeting in our first week at Lancaster University at a Christian Union social. Jo is an author, having published three novels now under the pen name Maria Johnson. For the past two years we have had the delightful Chewbarker (Chewie to his friends) a mixed breed terrier, who loves people very much.
I trained at Oak Hill College in North London, and before that I served as a parish assistant at St John’s Over in Winsford. Prior to exploring God’s call to ordained ministry, I have worked in a publishing company, a residential care home and a special needs school.
We are so excited to join you and become part of your church family together. Dunham Massey has been a favourite spot for many years. We enjoy reading, writing, good films, spending time with friends and having a good laugh.
We look forward very much to joining you as we all journey together into the next exciting chapters of the life of the parishes.
