St Mark’s 23rd August 2020
Rev Keith Hine arrives for service at St Mark’s Dunham to be greeted by warden Alan Hewitt. Paul guided worshipers around the one-way system, and to communion. Seating was naturally distanced A pew apart, but the music resounded through the rural church. Peace, Smiles and warmth abounded. Every safety precaution had been taken and all at St Mark’s looks forward to seeing you.
St Margaret’s 23rd August 2020
32 members of St Margaret’s church returned on Sunday 23rd August. Met by warden Sue, hands were sanitised, attendance forms completed, masks were worn, and all followed a one-way system into church whilst the familiar tones of St Margaret’s organ greeted all. We sat in alternate pews, well distanced, recited familiar prayers, relished seeing terry at the organ and listened to the richness of the music. Rev Keith delivered the sermon and led Communion. Whilst we couldn’t shake hands in the peace, nor could we see the smiles, there was no doubt in the Joyous sentiment conveyed. It was a wonderful experience and we look forward to seeing you soon. St Margaret’s and St Mark’s keeping safe.
